4. Align the selected gasket with the matching air passages and mounting holes in the new spool block.
5. Insert the two 8-32 screws supplied in the kit through the block and gasket. (The high capacity block requires
the longer screws supplied in the kit.)
6. Install the block and gasket in the enclosure. Align the spool block and gasket with the air passages and
mounting holes in the enclosure. Tighten the hardware to 20 lb in. (2.3 N m).
7. Lift the beam assembly slightly and insert one end of the spool clip into the bronze bushing in the under side of
the beam assembly. Insert the other end of the spool clip into the countersunk end of the spool at the top of the
spool block. The longest section of the clip should be positioned inside the V-shaped slot in the front of the
beam. See Figure 3. Do not permanently deform the clip from the original shape.
If the spool clip is deformed, refer to the drawing below and carefully re-form the clip as
shown.
8. Model 760E only: Install the I/P Transducer. Refer to SD760 as needed.
9. Refer to the Calibration section of SD760 and test the Positioner to ensure that the spool valve is operating
freely and that there are no air leaks. Check Positioner calibration and calibrate if necessary.
10. Install the enclosure cover, tighten screws to 20 in lbs (2.3 Nm) and install the Positioner.
