When using an extension cord, be sure to
use one heavy enough to carry the current
your product will draw. An undersized
cord will cause a drop in line voltage
resulting in loss of power and overheating.
The following table shows the correct
size to use depending on cord length and
nameplate ampere rating. If in doubt, use
the next heavier gauge. The smaller the
gauge number, the heavier the cord.

OPeRATING: POWeR UNIT
TRIGGeR SWITCh & fORWARD/ReveRSe SlIDeR
The Power Unit's (1) forward/reverse slider (2) is used to control the direction the chuck (6) spins:
Forward to drive screws; Reverse to remove screws. It is located above the variable speed trigger (3).
After any operations, return lever to the forward position. Never change the direction of rotation while
the motor is running.
• The Power Unit is turned ON and OFF by pulling and releasing the trigger. The more the trigger is
pulled, the higher the speed of the Power Unit.
• A forward/reverse control slider determines the direction of the tool.
• To select forward rotation, release the trigger switch and depress the forward/reverse control
button to the left.
