Introduction to the Expansion Signal Card Overview The Expansion Signal (XSIG) Card provides three additional NACs for use with either an Amplifier Audio NAC or a power supply card (SPS, RPS, and XPS). When an XSIG Card is added for audio NAC expansion, the card is programmed for operation with the specific amplifier that it is expanding.

Introduction to the Expansion Signal Card, Continued XSIG Card Receives The XSIG card is a 4100 Comm slave according to the 4100 slave architecture. The card plugs Power and onto the Power Distribution Interface (PDI) that supplies card power and 4100 Comm Communications communications.

Installing the Expansion Signal Card onto the PDI Overview The Expansion Signal (XSIG) card mounts on the Power Distribution Interface (PDI). The module can be mounted on any of the PDI connectors. Use connector P4, labeled on the backside of the given card, to connect to any of the eight PDI connectors as shown in Figure 2 below.
