Switching the appliance on:

- Before switching the appliance on, make sure that all the precautions mentioned in the «Safety
instructions», «Defining bathroom volumes» and «Protection against overheating» chapters have
been observed.
- The fan heater is equipped with a thermostat B (fig. 3) to select the desired room temperature.
- To use the appliance:
- Pull the mains cable fully out of the cable compartment at the rear of the unit (fig. 4).
- Plug the appliance into a 230 V ~ 50 Hz mains socket.

Operation

- Summer ventilation
- Set the button A (fig.3) to position . The appliance starts to operate. Set the thermostat B (fig.3)
to the maximum position.
- Heating
- Set button A (Fig. 3) to position I (1250 W) or position II (2500 W).
- Select the desired temperature using the thermostat button.
- After reaching the desired temperature, slowly turn the thermostat control anticlockwise until you
hear a «click». The desired temperature has now been set.
- Frost protection
- Set button B (Fig. 3) to
- When the room temperature drops to about 5°C, the appliance starts heating. This keeps the
temperature somewhere above 5°C and stops the water pipes from freezing.

Switching the appliance off

- To switch the appliance off, set button A to 0.

Overheat protection

- In the event of a heat build-up, an overheat protection device automatically switches off the
appliance.
- If the overheat protection device is triggered:
- Turn the appliance off.
- Unplug it from the mains socket.
- Remove the cause of overheating (blocked air inlet and/or outlet grilles, obstructed air circulation,
dust ...).
- Vacuum the air grilles if necessary.
- Allow the appliance to cool down.
- Reconnect it.

Maintenance

- The SB 20 fan heater only requires occasional external cleaning.
- The warranty does not cover damage caused by improper maintenance of the appliance.
- Before cleaning or maintenance, set the power switch to position 0.
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
- Wait until the appliance is cold.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.
- Do not allow water to get inside the appliance.
- Use a slightly damp cloth.
- Do not wet the air inlet/outlet grilles.
- Do not use detergents, abrasives or chemicals (alcohol, petrol, etc.).
- Vacuum the air inlets and outlets regularly. A build-up of dust will adversely affect correct operation
of the appliance.
