Safety first
Wiring should be carried out in accordance with
current regulations by qualified engineers.
Ensure correct equipment is used to mount
components.
Tools required
5mm Security Allen key
6mm Security Allen key
13mm A/F Combination Spanner
13mm A/F Socket & Ratchet
3mm Spade End screwdriver
Solar Pulsa Post Installation
1) Post details, supplied by others, in accordance
with Figure B.
2) Installation should be undertaken in firm ground
to a depth, of 1000mm. The foundation detail
shown in Figure A is the minimum requirement.
Solar Pulsa Installation
1) Remove the 2 No M10 x 20mm security
Button-Head allen screws complete with red fibre
washers, from the panel spigot assembly.
2) Fix panel spigot assembly to the post top using
its 4 No M10 socket set screws. Ensuring that in
the UK, the panel faces true south.
3) Spot mark the post at the 2 No security Button-
Head allen screws hole centres.
4) a) Slacken the spigot assemblies retaining
bolts.
b) Raise the spigot assembly clear of the spot
marks and re-secure.
c) Drill 2 No Ø11mm clearance holes through the
post. NB Take care not to damage the trailing
supply cable.

5) a) Re-position the panel spigot assembly.
(passing the supply cable etc.)
b) Re-fix the 2 No security Button-Head allen
screw and fibre washers to penetrate through the
drilled holes in post.
c) Tighten the 4 No M10 socket set screws.
Pulsa
1) Drill a Ø14mm hole in the post at the required
height (2421mm from ground level to give a
height of 2100mm to the base of the Pulsa) -
ensure the hole is free from burrs and sharp
edges.
2) Pass the supply cable down the post to the
regulator assembly located in the base of the
post.
3) Fix the Pulsa to the post in accordance with the
standard Pulsa installation instructions.
Battery & Regulator Assembly
1) Remove the battery and carrier from the
wooden board.
2) Secure the wooden board into the base of the
column using an M8 full nut and penny washer.
3) Replace the battery and carrier onto the
wooden board.
4) A qualified engineer should now make
connections to the regulator strictly in accordance
with the sunsaver operators manual.
Once the above instruction has been completed,
the Smart Pulsa should then flash twice. A
calendar file can now be uploaded
Please ensure the Solar panel is placed with clear
line of sight to the sun, all year round.
Note: Failure to follow these instructions may
result in premature failure of the product.
