- Page 4 Step 3 Remove and discard the old cylinder sleeve. Step 4 Use a 1/8” Allen wrench to remove the two screws on the piston. Piston Cup Step 5 Remove and discard the worn piston cup and position the new one beneath the piston retainer plate making sure the lip of the new piston cup faces up.
- Page 5 Step 6 Firmly push the piston retainer plate with piston cup into the cylinder sleeve. Flip over to ensure the piston cup is properly aligned within the cylinder sleeve. Reinstall the cylinder sleeve on the compressor and secure the piston retainer plate using the two new screws from your maintenance kit (Recommended Torque: 34-38 in lb).
- Page 6 Valve Limiter U-Shaped Groove Step 9 Install the leaf valve, ensuring the leaf top in the “U” shaped groove on the valve and limiter are located on the valve plate and cover the hole. Ensure side opposite of the o-ring gasket. the curved portion of the limiter rests Place the leaf valve with the limiter on on the leaf valve.
- Page 7 Step 11 Remove the old o-ring gasket using a small pick tool and replace. Step 12 Place the valve plate back onto the compressor body. Remove and replace the old cylinder gasket. Step 13 Flip the cylinder head back onto the compressor, align and push firmly into place.
