7.3 Environmental notes
Power tools, accessories and packaging should be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
For EU countries:
Do not place power tools in your household waste.
In accordance with the European Directive on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment and its
transposition into national law, power tools that are no longer usable must be collected separately and
recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
Accumulators/Batteries:
Do not place batteries in the household waste, fire or water. Batteries must be collected, recycled or disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.
For EU countries only:
Environmentally friendly disposal of accumulators and batteries
In accordance with the European Directive on Batteries and Accumulators and Used Batteries and Accumulators,
defective or spent accumulators/batteries must be recycled. Do not dispose of accumulators and batteries as unsorted
municipal waste. As a consumer, you are under obligation to hand defective or used accumulators and batteries over to
a recycling point for used batteries. In Germany, defective or used accumulators and batteries can be returned to WOW!
free of charge for recycling.
If liquid leaks from an accumulator or battery, make sure that it does not come into contact with the skin or eyes! If the
liquid does come into contact with the skin or eyes, rinse the affected area with water and consult a doctor!
If accumulators and batteries are not professionally recycled but disposed of in an uncontrolled manner, there is a risk of
hazardous substances entering the ground water and thus the food chain and also poisoning flora and fauna.
By returning used and defective accumulators and batteries, you are rendering an important contribution to the recycling
of materials and the protection of our environment.
