Changing the Focus Mode

Your camera provides you with the five focus modes described below. The initial factory default focus mode is Auto Focus.
Focus Mode Description
Auto Automatic focus when the shutter button is half-pressed.
Focus During movie recording, the Auto Focus Mode is disabled
and the camera switches to the Pan Focus Mode
automatically.
Macro Used for close-up shooting. Macro Focus becomes fixed
(Close-up) focus while shooting a movie.
Pan Fixed focus for relatively wide-range focusing. Use Pan
Focus Focus (PF) under conditions where Auto Focus is difficult.
Infinity Focus is fixed at infinity. Use this mode when shooting
Focus scenery and other faraway images.
Manual Focus is performed manually.
