Operation

CAUTION

▶ Check that the side handle is fitted correctly and tightened securely.

6.1
Chisel positioning
CAUTION
Risk of injury! Loss of control over the chisel direction.
▶ Do not operate the tool when the selector switch is set to "Chisel positioning". Turn the function selector
switch until it engages in the "Chiseling" position.
The chisel can be adjusted to 24 different positions (in 15° increments). This ensures that flat chisels
and shaped chisels can always be set to the optimum working position.
1. Switch the product off.
2. Set the function selector switch to the "Chisel positioning" position
3. Rotate the chisel to the desired position.
4. Turn the function selector switch until it engages in the "Chiseling"
▶ The product is ready for use.
6.1.1
Chiseling
1. Set the function selector switch to "Chiseling"
2. Position the tip of the chisel at the desired location.
3. Press the on/off switch.
Working at low temperatures:
The hammering mechanism works only when the product has reached a minimum operating
temperature. Briefly position the product on the surface to be worked and run the product under
no load until the required temperature is reached. If necessary, repeat this procedure until the
hammering mechanism begins to operate.

Switch sustained operation on and off
When chiseling, the control switch can be locked in the "on" position.
1. Push the lockbutton for continuous operation forward.
2. Press the control switch fully.
▶ The product then runs in sustained operating mode.
3. Push the lockbutton for continuous operation back.
▶ The product switches off.

Care and maintenance

WARNING
Risk of injury with battery inserted !
▶ Always remove the battery before carrying out care and maintenance tasks!
Care of the product
Carefully remove stubborn dirt.
Carefully clean the air vents, if present, with a dry, soft brush.
Use only a slightly damp cloth to clean the housing. Do not use cleaning agents containing silicone as
these can attack the plastic parts.
