  • Page 8 HMB-6110 User Manual Before turning on the device, ground the grounding cable of the equipment. Proper grounding (grounding) is very important to protect the equipment against the harmful effects of external noise and to reduce the risk of electrocution in the event of a lightning strike. To uninstall the equipment, disconnect the ground wire after turning off the power. A ground wire is required and the part connecting the conductor must be greater than 4 mm2 or 12 AWG.

Locate the OPMA socket on the motherboard. 2. Align the notch of the IPMI card with the socket key in the slot.   • Page 30 HMB-6110 User Manual This document specifies the BMC firmware features of Lanner. The BMC firmware implements IPMI 2.0 based on ASPEED service processor. It performs all the BMC management tasks defined by IPMI 2.0. In addition, Lanner’s BMC firmware runs an embedded web-server for full configuration using Web UI, which has a low learning curve.

    HMB-6110 User Manual Serial over LAN (SOL) IPMI 2.0 SOL is implemented to redirect the system serial controller traffic over an IPMI session. System administrators are able to establish a SOL connection with a standard IPMI client, like IPMITOOL, to remotely interact with serial text-based interfaces such as OS command-line and serial redirected BIOS interfaces.
