The garments conform to EN 469 protective clothing for firefighters, to the following levels:
- Xf2&Xr2 for Heat Protection
- Y2 for Resistance to Water Penetration
- Z2 for Water Vapour Resistance
In the design of this garment due respect had been paid to the Basic Health and Safety Requirements
laid out in Annex II of the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
These garments have been designed to provide a specified level of protection for use in structural
firefighting and they are not suitable for other extreme high temperature firefighting environments or
for flame entry.
5. FUNCTIONAL PRESENTATION
OF EACH PART OF THE GARMENT
UK
- Fitted with stand-up collar to protect effectively the neck from fire burning.
- The radio pocket is for convenient communication.
- The reflective tape, around the chest, back, hem, cuff and leg opening are useful for easy
identification.
- Cuff with rib thumb hole to prevent cuff retracting, with anti-wick fabric to avoid the debris and water
entering into the cuff.
- The stand-up pocket on coat with large space can be equipped with firefighting equipment tools.
- The life saving drag belt on the back can be used for quick rescue of firemen.
- The H shape waist brace comfortable to wear and easy to adjust, provides protection and supports
fireman waist.
- The stand-up pocket on trouser, with large space can be equipped with fire fighting equipment tools.
- The genuine leather on cuff and leg opening provides protection and wear resistance.
- Reinforcement on sleeve elbows and knees: diamond jacquard wear resistant reinforcing cloth
provides protection and wear resistance.
