Prerequisite
Before you start, read Chapter 1 "Important safety information" on page 1 and print the following
instructions.
For access, remove the following FRUs in order if any:
• "Computer cover" on page 53
• "E-lock" on page 96
• "Rear fan" on page 86
• Remove the Type-2 heat sink and fan assembly, if any. See "Heat sink and fan assembly" on page 87

Prerequisite

• "Computer cover" on page 53
• "Optical drive" on page 54
• "Front bezel" on page 56
• "Optical drive cage" on page 72
2. Disconnect the internal speaker cable from the system board.
