14. Do not charge battery cartridge when room
temperature is BELOW 10°C (50°F) or ABOVE
40°C (104°F). At the cold temperature, charging
may not start.
15. Do not attempt to use the AC power adaptor
with a step-up transformer, an engine genera-
tor or DC power receptacle.

Installing back up batteries
NOTE: Keeping back up batteries inside the compart-
ment prevent stored data in preset memories from
being lost.

Pull up the battery compartment to unlock it and
then open the battery cover.

Remove back up battery compartment cover and
install 2 fresh UM-3 (AA sizes) batteries. Make sure the
batteries are with correct polarity as shown inside the
compartment.

Installing or removing battery
cartridge
CAUTION:
Hold the tool and the battery car-
tridge firmly when installing or removing battery
cartridge. Failure to hold the radio and the battery
cartridge firmly may cause them to slip off your hands
and result in damage to the radio and battery car-
tridge and a personal injury.
Pull up the battery compartment to unlock it and then
open the battery cover.
