Product specific conditions A correctly installed searchlight system from Luminell requires no planned regular maintenance or service other than regular cleaning and care during the first 10 years of operation.

    Luminell sweden AB manufactures professional marine searchlights and has done so since the early 90's. The SL1 is a compact and extremely powerful LED searchlight with wave-compensated movement and digital controlled spot / flood light beam. Developed for and targeting Civil/Naval High Speed and Light Craft as well as Yachts. Built to last with same quality standards as the bigger sisters but in a more compact format.

    5 PREPARATION OF THE PRODUCT FOR USE 5.1 UNPACKING THE PRODUCT AND CHECKING THE CONTENTS The system is delivered in a cardboard box containing 1 x SL1 searchlight with 3m powercable and 0,9m circular LAN cable mounted to the searchlight base.

  • Page 30 The below only applies if the searchlight system is powered directly by the vessels DC network. Luminell's LED searchlight module is built for optimal light performance along with an effective EMI-reducing circuit design. Large capacitors between searchlight 0V and ground is an effective way to reduce emissions but can also have a negative impact for some insulation monitors that use a measurement method in the form of a pulsed voltage applied between supply 0V and ground.

  • Page 36 7 OPERATION/USE Controlling the light SL1 LED light is made up of both a wide and narrow beam and latest beam selection + dim level is saved and activated at the re-ignition. From factory we use the searchlight internal sensor as zero reference but after the searchlight has been handled and bolted this reference need to be adjusted, we call this to “Set the origin”.

    9 FIRMWARE UPDATE 9 FIRMWARE UPDATE Luminell have developed a user-friendly update tool that soon will be available from Glamox homepage, in the meantime contact service.sweden@glamox.com for update information. The installation file contains both the tool itself and the firmware files, all in one application.

    If using a laptop for the update make sure its battery is fully charged or connected to AC supply. Don’t power off the searchlight system or the computer during update process. Once the software is installed, preparation can be made for updating firmware in the SL1 system (operator panel and searchlight).
