Freezing damage caused by an improperly cleaned system represents abuse and may impair or otherwise negatively affect the Carrier product warranty. 1. Install a temporary bypass around the chiller to avoid cir- culating dirty water and particulates into the pump pack- age and chiller during the flush.
  • Page 14: Step 7 - Make Electrical Connections

Set Water Flow Rate — Once the system is cleaned, pressur- ized, and filled, the flow rate through the chiller needs to be established. NOTE: Carrier recommends a differential pressure gage when measuring pressures across the pumps or balancing valves. This provides for greater accuracy and reduces error build-up that often occurs when subtracting pressures made by different gages.
