Overview
The 4100-6062 TFX Interface (hereafter referred to as the TFXi)
provides the following functionality:
It allows a 4100U or a 4100ES Fire Alarm Control Panel
(FACP) to transmit specific events (Fire, Trouble, Supervi-
sory, Signal Silence, System Reset, Control, Utility, etc.)
over the TFXnet to TFX fire panels and annunciators.
It monitors the state of specific TFX points, and turns on the
FACP pseudo points when the state of the TFX point
changes. These pseudo points can be associated with spe-
cific system actions (for example perform a system reset on
the FACP), or they can be utility pseudo points linked to
Custom Control equations that perform facility-specific
actions (for example, turn on relays).
The TFXi consists of a 2" x 11.5" motherboard, which mounts to
the chassis of an FACP, and a daughter card, containing an RS-
232 connector and TFXi firmware, that mounts in a socket on the
motherboard.
Battery current requirements for the 4100-6062 TFX Interface
Module are as follows:
Supervisory Current = 132 mA
Alarm Current
= 132 mA
