The detector can send this signal via the Fire Alarm Panel Output signal or the Pre-alarm output signal.

Ensure the mounting position is flat. a. Place the mounting bracket onto the surface and mark out the two mounting screw holes. Refer to Figure 6-2 for dimensions.

Figure 6-4 below demonstrates the placement of various terminal blocks and connectors in the VLC-605.

    The VLC-605 unit and AutoPulse control panel should be powered and in a normal state before proceeding with the following steps. a. Connect a PC running the Xtralis VSC software to the VLC-605 unit. Refer to Figure 6-4 for RS-232 (DB- 9) connector location.

However unlikely these may be when they do occur the VLC-605 will signal the AutoPulse control panel to which it is connected. The VSC program would be used to retrieve the active event information from the VLC-605 device.
