Installation-DVD3200
Th is u nit is design ed for installatio n in vehicle cabs with an existing radio openin g. In m any
cases, a sp ecial installation kit w ill b e req uired to m o unt the DV D3200 to th e d ashboard.
Th ese kits are availab le at electro nics supply stores and car stereo specialist sho ps. Always
check the kit ap plication b efore purchasing to make sure th e kit works with your vehicle.
U nivers al Ins tallation Procedure U s ing D IN M ounting S leeves
1)
S lide the m ounting s leeve off of the c hass is . If it is loc ked into pos ition, rem ov e the end c aps and
use the rem oval tools (supplied) to disengage it.

C heck the das hboard opening size by s liding the m ounting sleeve into it. If the opening is not large
enough, c arefully c ut or file as neces sary until the sleev e easily slides into the opening. D o not
force the s leeve into the opening or cause it to bend or bow. C hec k that there is suffic ient s pace
behind the das hboard for the D VD player c hass is. W ire prior to actually ins talling the sleeve. (S ee
Figure 10 on page 15) W iring the D IN pow er harnes s as sem bly s hould take plac e after hole size is
confirm ed. M ount s leeve after w iring.

Locate the series of bend tabs along the top, bottom , and sides of m ounting sleeve. W ith the s leev e
fully inserted into the das h opening, bend as m any tabs as neces sary so that the sleeve is firm ly
sec ured to the dashboard.

Follow the w iring diagram carefully, (S ee F igure 10 on page 15) and m ak e c ertain all c onnections
of the w iring harness are properly sec ured and insulated to ens ure proper operation of this unit.
After com pleting the w iring c onnections , turn the unit on to confirm operation (ignition s w itc h m us t
be "O N "). If unit does not operate, rechec k all w iring until problem is corrected. O nc e proper
operation is achieved, turn off ignition sw itch and proceed w ith final m ounting of the chas sis.

C arefully slide the D VD player into the m ounting s leev e, m ak ing s ure it is right-s ide-up until fully
seated, and that the spring clips loc k it into plac e.

A ttac h one end of the D IN m ounting strap (s upplied) to the s crew stud on the rear chas sis us ing the
flange nut provided (S ee F igure 2 on page 6). Fasten the other end of the D IN m ounting strap to a
sec ure part of the das hboard, either above or below the D V D player us ing the sc rew and flange nut
provided. Bend strap to pos ition as neces sary.
