2.2.2

Permanent obligations

The following are permanent obligations for the operator:
the regulations concerning hazardous substances are observed
g
national regulations for health and safety, accident prevention and environmental protection are implemented
g
all other national rules and regulations are implemented
g
a risk assessment is carried out
g
misuse is prevented
g
anyone who works with the product uses suitable protective equipment
g
anyone who works with the product is qualified for his area of responsibility
g
workers are trained regularly, at least twice a year, in order to keep safety and hazard knowledge up to date
g
clear responsibilities are assigned to employees (e.g. operation, maintenance, repair)
g
maintenance and service intervals are adhered to
g
damage is repaired promptly and professionally
g
only accessories approved by DENIOS and original replacement parts are used
g
measures are taken to remove the potential for ignition sources
g
equipotential bonding is professionally connected
g
illegible or missing symbols or identification plates are replaced immediately
g

Explosion protection

If the risk assessment has concluded that an explosive atmosphere may be created, the following requirements must be
met.

Directive 1999/92/EC contains minimum regulations for improving work health and safety for employees, who may be at
risk due to explosive atmospheres:

Classification of areas where an explosive atmosphere may be present
g
Minimum regulations for improving work health and safety for employees, who may be at risk due to explosive at-

mospheres as well as criteria for selecting equipment and protection systems
The explosion protection document produced by the operator specifies the conditions at the location of use. The operator
must test in detail, whether the product and its equipment meet the requirements of the explosion protection document.
2.3

Personnel requirements

Risk-free working is only guaranteed, when only specially qualified workers use, maintain or repair the product.
Persons undergoing training may only be permitted to work with the product, if a qualified person is constantly super-
vising the work.
