Choosing Training Speed

The training speed chooses how fast the transducer scans the sounding sector. Two
choices are available, normal speed (default setting) and high speed, and one may be
selected with the FAST SCAN key. Each time the key is pressed "NORM" (normal speed) or
"FAST" (high speed) momentarily appears at the screen top.
Normal (6°) : 60 transmissions required to complete full 360° picture (default setting).
High (12°) :
On ranges higher than 160 m, 30 transmissions required to complete the full
360° picture.
The time necessary to train a full circle depends on frequency, range and mode. The table
below shows the time required to complete one full circle in the horizontal mode.

Changing Training Direction

The training direction may be reversed to reconfirm fish echoes. Press the REVERSE key
to reverse training direction between counterclockwise and clockwise alternately.
"REVERSE" appears at the top of the screen for three seconds when training direction is
reversed.
