7.3 TROUBLESHOOTING

What
The height of the push
handle changes without
you wanting it to.
The quad cane is not
resting on the floor/
ground with all four feet.
The push handle wobbles
even though the spring
pins are engaged.
The hand grip of the quad
cane does not provide a
proper grip.

Possible causes
The spring pins are not correctly
engaged.
The spring pins are defective.
The walking surface is not level.
A stone or some other small object has
got stuck in the rubber pads.
The frame is bent.
The rubber pads are not securely
connected to the frame or are
damaged.
The push handle is warped.
One of the spring pins is defective,
with the result that the push handle
is not fully locked.
The hand grip is damaged or loose.
Measures
Lock the spring pins at the correct
height, making sure that they audibly
click into place and noticeably
protrude from the holes.
