my ac compresser does not come on

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
May 14, 2025

Based on the provided context, possible reasons for the AC compressor not turning on in a Prevost XL2 could include:

- Insufficient airflow through the condenser if parked too close to other vehicles or buildings.
- The engine not running, as the HVAC system requires the engine to operate.
- Electrical or control issues, as the HVAC module performs self-diagnostics and may show fault codes.
- Low air pressure issues affecting system components, since a leaking fitting was observed until pressure reached about 100 PSI.
- Mechanical failure of the old compressor, which was noted to have reduced airflow compared to a new one.

Further diagnosis would be necessary to identify the exact cause.
