Install:

• Clip "1"

• Drive plate "2"
TIP
As illustrated, insert the projection of drive pawl and the
projection of sheave drum into the groove of drive plate
"2", and install them.

Install:
• Drive plate screw "1"
Drive plate screw:
TIP
• After tightening the drive plate screw, place starter rope
in the cut-out "a" in the sheave drum, and wind it counter-
b
clockwise four turns.
• Make a knot "b" at the end of the starter rope to prevent
the rope from being retracted into the starter case.
Check to see that the recoil starter operates normally by
pulling the starter rope "2" strongly.
REMOVING THE CDI MAGNETO AND FLYWHEEL
1.
Remove:
• Flywheel nut "1"
• Washer
TIP
Attach the sheave holder "2" to hold the flywheel.
