Operate the generator (with no load).

Check:
• Output indicator "1"
No indicator comes on Refer to "GENERATOR
SYSTEM" on page 6-1.
ENGINE SWITCH
1.
Check:
• Engine switch "1"
a. Turn the engine switch "1" to "I" (RUN) "2".
b. Start the engine.
c. Turn the engine switch to " " (STOP) "3" and
check that the engine stops.
ECONOMY CONTROL SWITCH
TIP
When starting the engine, with the economy control switch
"I"/"
" (ON), and there is no load on the generator:
• in ambient temperature below 0 C (32 F), the engine
will run at the rated r/min (4900 r/min) for 5 minutes to
warm up the engine.
• in ambient temperature below 5 C (41 F), the engine
will run at the 4900 r/min for 3 minutes to warm up the
engine.
The economy control unit operates normally after the
above time period, while the economy control switch is "I"/
"
" (ON).
