ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS (CONT)
The scale is shipped without the required six (6) D-cell batteries installed. The battery compartment
is located underneath the scale cover. Use the following procedure to install the batteries:
1. Remove the two thumb screws on the
back of the scale and set aside. Carefully
lift the cover off the scale.
2. Remove the two thumb screws on the
top of the battery compartment located in
the center of the inside of the scale.
3. Insert the batteries following the +/-
orientation for proper positioning . Note:
slide the batteries towards the contact and
away from the spring to ensure secure
electrical connection. Replace the battery
tray cover and thumb screws. Before
replacing scale cover, press the power
button to ensure the scale powers on.
Reinstall the scale cover by replacing the
two thumb screws on the back of the
scale.
4. Position the scale with the display
buttons facing you. Align the tray so that
the measuring tape is positioned over the
back end of the scale platform. Carefully
lower the tray onto the four mounting pins
on the scale platform. When the tray is
properly aligned with the pins, gently push
down on the tray over each pin until its
locks into position.
Moving the Scale
The scale should be lifted by the two black handles only.
NOTE: The scale tray should never be used for transporting a baby or objects. The tray
surface must be clear of any objects during transport.
