Safety

• The displayed voltage is the nominal value.
• Only use the voltage tester within the rated voltage
range from 6 to 400 VDC/VAC.
• When measuring, grip the insulated
handles and do not touch the test
electrodes (metal test pins).
• Store the voltage tester in a clean
and dry place.
• Never dismantle the voltage tester.
Repairs should only be carried out
by qualified tradesmen.
• The operating temperature is from -10°C to +50°C.
• The voltage tester must not be connected to live volta-
ge for more than 30 seconds at a time. After subjecting
the tester to max load it must be allowed to rest for
240 seconds.
N.B. The tester does not give a precise measurement,
•
but rather an average reading. The LED light already
begins to shine at 85% of the respective nominal value.

Features

The voltage tester is used for measuring DC and AC
current within a 6 V to 400 V range. It is equipped with
a polarity indicator used when measuring DC.
The voltage tester comes with two test electrodes
(A and B) and a connecting lead (C).

The test electrode A has two displays (2) and (3).
The display for 6 – 50 V consists of 4 LEDs. The 120–
400 V display consists of 3 test lights which display DC
and AC in stages from 6 – 400 V. The given readings
correspond to the rated voltage. When measuring DC
the LEDs will even display polarity.

Measuring

1. Test the device before measuring.
2. Test all functions using known voltage sources.
- To test DC you may use e.g. a car battery for
testing purposes.
- To test AC you may use e.g. a 230 V wall socket
for testing purposes.
Do not use the voltage tester if all the features are not
working correctly.

Measuring AC voltage

• Connect the test electrodes (1) to the object being
measured.
• When measuring AC from 6 V the test lights for both
plus and minus are on. The LEDs come on in stages
depending on the voltage.

Measuring DC voltage

• Connect the test electrodes (1) to the object being
measured.
• When measuring from 6 V upwards either the plus or
minus LED will light depending on polarity. The LEDs
come on in stages depending on the voltage.

Measuring DC polarity

• Connect the test electrodes (1) to the object being
measured.
• If the plus LED is lit; test electrode A is connected to the
plus terminal.
• If the minus LED is lit; test electrode A is connected to
the minus terminal.

Cleaning

Clean the device regularly using a clean dry cloth.
Do not use solvents and/or abrasives for cleaning.
