BAFFLE PLATE
The hearth is fitted with a stainless steel and vermiculite
baffle. This baffle enables efficient heat exchange and helps
soot to be collected when the chimney is swept.
Users should familiarise themselves with how to fit and remove
the baffle plate. Do this several times before using the fireplace
for the first time.
1. Swivel the two holding catches in towards the hearth.
2. Lower the rear part of the baffle.
3. Take the baffle out of the hearth.
4. Fit the baffle back into the hearth.
5. Use the holding catches to lock the baffle to the hearth.

COMBUSTION AIR CONNECTION

connect the air supply line to the combustion air collar.
FLUE CONNECTION
The connection must be made in the same room where the
appliance is located via the most direct route, with no
negative slope and accessible along its entire length. It must
be done using:
- T450 metal flue pipe (minimum):
- black sheet metal at least 2mm thick
- enamelled sheet metal at least 0.6 mm thick
- stainless steel at least 0.4 mm thick
or rigid or flexible multi-fuel flue liner. This type of casing is
subject to a technical approval prior to use.
Aluminium, aluminised steel and galvanized steel are not
permitted.
Remove the baffle (§ 4.3). Connect the collar on the
appliance to the flue. Refit the baffle.

NATURAL DISTRIBUTION OF HOT AIR
When delivered, the hot air damper is open. Hot air comes out
the front of the fireplace towards the room.
DISTRIBUTION OF HOT AIR
Connect the hot air distribution nozzles (optional; see specific
documentation).
Tilt the damper to direct the hot air up towards the distribution
collars (fig. 4.9). In this case, some of the hot air can be
released into the room via the hood. Open the hole on the
unused collars to allow hot air to flow throughout the room (fig.
2.2).
2 hot air distribution collars
If the appliance is equipped with a hot air distribution system
- To channel hot air into adjacent rooms or upstairs, connect
flexible aluminium ducts (not supplied) to the collars that will
be installed on top of the hearth. Attach the other end of
these ducts to a closable grille (single or double) to adjust
the flow of hot air, according to installation.
- Never close all of the grilles at the same time.
- If they pass through cold attics, then install insulated
ducts.
- Limit the amount of bends to a minimum and install the
outlets at a level higher than that of the collars
- To improve efficiency, the total length of the distribution
ducts should not exceed 6 metres for natural convection and
9 metres with forced convection.
The connection slope must be positive along the entire
length.
