SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: AIRBAG SYSTEM: Source V oltage Drop (2009 Prius)
1. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR - BATTERY)
2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR - BODY GROUND)
2004-2009 Toyota Prius
(a) Turn the power switch OFF.
(b) Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal, and
wait for at least 90 seconds.
(c) Disconnect the connectors from the center airbag sensor.
(d) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal, and wait
for at least 2 seconds.
(e) Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage:
TESTER CONNECTION
A18-21 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch ON (IG) 11 to 14 V
OK
(a) Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance:
TESTER CONNECTION
A18-25 (E1) - Body ground
A18-26 (E2) - Body ground
OK
