ACCESSORIES 4 DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE The C (Art. 0749) is a machine designed to plane a OMBINED PLANER AND THICKNESSER surface and give a piece of wood one predetermined thickness. When planing, the piece of wood is pushed forward over the cutterhead and the lower surface is planed.

The suction device must have an air flow with a minimum speed of 20 m/s for dry shavings. The diameter of the suction hose coupling should be about 10 cm.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 5 DESCRIPTION OF CONTROLS 5.1 Emergency stop and start/stop button On the front guard there are start switches (ref. D in figure 7), stop switches (ref. C) and emergency stop (ref. A). To start the machine it is necessary to open the yellow door (ref. B) and press the green start switch (ref.

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 6 SAFETY DEVICES ON THE MACHINE 6.1 Electrical safety devices In the event of malfunction or breakdown, the P is equipped with power cable and plug LANER with grounding conductor, which provides a path of least resistance for electric current and reduces the risk of electric shock.

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 8 TRANSPORT AND LIFTING The weight of the P is 164 kg, LANER therefore only lifted transported using equipment suitable for the task. The optimum solution for handling is to use a pallet truck or a forklift truck with sufficient capacity.
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 9 ASSEMBLY AND COMMISSIONING 9.1 Machine delivery and unpacking The P is supplied completely assembled and ready for use. LANER The machine is packed (fixed securely with pins) on a wooden pallet. Before disposing of packaging, check that no parts of the machine, including the user manual or other documentation, are going to be thrown away.

MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 10.5How to perform safe planing 10.5.1 Surface planing Keeping the guard against the output table, bring the guard against the guide with your left hand, then lift it up according to the thickness of the workpiece. Push the piece just below the guard with your right hand and place the latter on the workpiece (see figure 26).
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES With your left hand, for example in a closed fist, with the thumb against the workpiece, hold the piece against the guide and the output table. Feed the piece regularly with the right hand, for example in a closed fist, with the thumb on the piece (see Figure 29).
MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 10.5.5 Planing with 45° inclined guide Rest the workpiece with your right hand against the inclined guide. Press the guard horizontally with your left hand so that it just touches the workpiece and tighten the locking lever with your right hand. In this way the guard is locked sideways and the workpiece can not slide away from the rail (see Figure 32).

Loosen the locking of the table and adjust the table thickness to the required height by means of the handwheel. 2. MACHINES AND ACCESSORIES 11.2Lubrication The machine is lubricated by the manufacturer. The electric motor does not require maintenance (sealed bearings). The wood feed rollers tend to get dirty with resin when working resinous woods. Therefore, the rollers and the bearing housings must always be kept clean. The surfaces of the plates must always be sprayed with products that make them slippery to slide the work pieces better.
