  • Page 4 Figure 7 PREPARING THE HUMIDIFIER FOR INSTALLATION Model 5000 humidifiers may be mounted on the supply (hot air) or return duct (cold air), however we recommend for safety reasons you install it on the return duct, this will minimize the high temperature the unit and components are exposed to. Only install on the supply duct (hot air) if absolutely necessary and ensure that the water supply, drain tube, or any other component do not come into contact with hot surfaces or sharp edges.
