Battery Information

Your unit contains an internal, non-removable, lithium-ion
battery. Contact your local waste disposal department for
information on properly disposing of the unit.
Battery Tips
Your unit's battery should last 4 to 8 hours depending on usage.
The battery gauge indicates the status of the battery.
To extend the battery life, reduce the time the backlight stays on.

To extend the battery life, close the antenna when you do not
need to receive GPS signals.
To maximize the battery life and help eliminate the possibility of
the battery overheating, which may lead to a risk of fire, do not
leave your unit in direct sunlight and avoid prolonged exposure
to excessive heat. To prevent damage, remove your unit from
the vehicle when leaving your vehicle or store it out of direct
sunlight, such as in a vehicle compartment.

that the battery gauge is not
completely accurate. To increase
the accuracy of the battery gauge,
fully discharge the battery and
then fully charge it without
interrupting the charging. For
best results, leave the unit in
the mount and keep the mount
powered (your vehicle on) until
the unit is totally charged.
