• If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a
cord with an ampere rating equal to or greater
than the maximum rating of the iron shall
be used. A cord rated for less amperage can
result in a risk of fire or electric shock due to
overheating. When using an extension cord
extra precaution should be taken to ensure
that the cord cannot be tripped over or pulled
on.
• Keep the iron and its cord out of reach of
children less than 8 years of age when it is
energized or cooling down.
• The plug must be removed from the socket
before the water tank is filled with water.
• Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let
Appliance cool completely down before putting
away. Loop cord loosely around appliance
when storing.
• The iron must be used and rested on a stable
surface.
• When placing the iron on its stand, ensure
that the surface on which the stand is placed
is stable.
• The iron must not be used if it has been
dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or
if it is leaking.
