Difficult start up (02_10)

If there is a problem you can follow the instructions below:
1. Flooded engine
Place the vehicle on its centre stand and check that the rear wheel is off the ground.
Open the throttle fully and press the starter button for five seconds and then stop for
five seconds. If the engine does not start after a few attempts, let the engine sit for a
few minutes and then repeat the above operations. In any case do not operate the
starter motor longer than 20" in an attempt to start the engine.

2. Battery or starter motor inefficiency
Place the vehicle on its stand; make sure that the rear wheel is off the ground, turn
the ignition switch to the «ON» position and use the kick-starter D.
3. Empty fuel tank
After refuelling the vehicle, start the engine by pressing the starter button with the
throttle at a minimum to provide maximum aspiration for the tap. If the vehicle fails to
start even after carrying out the steps described above, contact an Authorised Serv-
ice Centre.
CAUTION
ALWAYS PLACE THE VEHICLE ON ITS STAND BEFORE KICK STARTING.
