4050 DV/SDV Module Installation Guide
This guide outlines the installation and removal of a DV/SDV module from a Barrett 4050 transceiver. This should be
undertaken by a technical professional and proper care must be taken to ensure correct installation.

Removing the Head

1.
Invert the transceiver and use an appropriate tool to loosen (but not remove), the two front panel securing screws
located immediately behind the front panel.

Gently pull the front panel from the transceiver to remove it.

Opening the Transceiver Body

1.
Remove the four cap head set screws securing the transceiver chassis halves together using an appropriately sized
allen key.
2.
Carefully open the transceiver chassis halves as shown.

Removing the DV/SDV Module Using the tool provided, attach around short edges of the module. Lift away the module vertically. DO NOT FLEX THE BOARD OR MOVE IT LATERALLY WHILST REMOVING!
