PAL CHROMA ADJUSTMENT
1. SUB-COLOUR ADJUSTMENT
(I
2
C bus adjustment, main picture)
1. Receive E-12CH "PAL colour bar" signal.
2. Using the remote controller, call the Video Nor-
mal mode.
3. Connect the oscilloscope to TP852 (RED cath-
ode).
(Use a 10:1 probe.)
• Range
: 2V/div.
• Sweep time
: 20µsec/div.
4. Using the remote controller, call the sub-colour
adjustment mode. Adjust the sub-colour data so
that the 75% white and red portions of the PAL
colour bar be at the same level. See Fig.9.
NTSC CHROMA ADJUSTMENT
1. SUB-TINT ADJUSTMENT
2
(I
C bus adjustment, main picture)
1. Call the sub-tint adjustment mode.Rceive the JA-
8CH "NTSC COLOUR BAR" signal.
2. Connect the oscilloscope to TP806 (B-Y)
• Range
: 20mV/div.(AC)
• Sweep time
: 20µsec/div.
(Use a 10:1 probe.)
3. Adjust the sub-tint data to obtain the waveform
as shown in Fig.10 .
4. Clear the adjustment mode.
Note: TP806......IC801 55pin

SIF (NICAM) ADJUSTMENT
1. VCO COIL ADJUSTMENT: T2302
1. Receive the E-69CH (PAL COLOUR BAR) signal.
2. Adjust T2302 so that the DC voltage of connecter (NI) pin (2) (TP204 located on the main unit or TP2303
located on NICAM unit) be 2.5 ± 0.1V.
SIF (IGR) ADJUSTMENT
1. AUDIO LEVEL : R2371
Adjusting conditions
191A video colour bar signal, 87.5% mod.
M1, M2, 400Hz, 30 KHz dev.
TWO SOUND mode (press the M1 or M2 switch)
RF output, 80 dBµ
1. Set the unit's bilingual mode switch to "MAIN" or "MAIN + SUB".
2. Terminate the AUDIO OUT (L) terminal with 10k-ohm impedance. Adjust the AUDIO LEVEL control (R2371)
so that the waveform on the synchroscope be as follows.
Adjustment range: 1.32 Vp-p ± 0.04 Vp-p
Notes:
1.Make sure that "MAIN" or "MAIN + SUB" appears on the OSD screen.
2.Make the setting of 1.76 Vp-p at 40 kHz deviation.
<Reference>
For the NICAM/IGR unit alone, the voltage at pin (17) (L-OUT(NI)) should be 1.36 ± 0.04 Vp-p.
2. SEPARATION: R2339
Under the same signal conditions as above, set thesignal generator to the STEREO mode (press the L or R
switch). Turn off the MONO1(L) audio signal.
*Press the S switch and make sure the meter indicates 5 kHz deviation.
1. Set the unit to the STEREO mode.
2. Terminate the AUDIO OUT(L) terminal with a 10-kohm impedance.Adjust the SEPARATION control (R2339)
to make the 400-Hz waveform the smallest.
Note: Make sure the STEREO appears on the screen.
