7.3.2

Pads

Here are the rules for the pads. Since the pads have two functions (they are pressure-sensi-
tive), the states are indicated as follows:
▪ If the pad is not assigned, it is off.
▪ If there is an assignment for the Hit action, the pad's LED behaves like that of a button
(see previous section).
▪ If the Hit action is not assigned but the Press action is assigned to the Note message type,
the LED has a low brightness to show the Off state and a high brightness to show the On
state. For all other message types, the LED stays at low brightness.
7.3.3

Control Encoder

The assignment for the Control encoder is indicated within the display in Control display mode.
If the knob is not assigned and you didn't change its default label, the display reads "OFF."

7.4

The Display

The display on your MASCHINE MIKRO controller can show different parts of your mapping
configuration, depending on the display mode that is activated. Learn more about the different
display modes available for the MASCHINE MIKRO controller's display in the following sec-
tions.
7.4.1

Switching Between Display Modes

First of all, to switch between display modes, press the NAV button on your MASCHINE MIK-
RO controller and hold it. At the top of the display, you see three tabs:
