Stand-alone Operation

In addition to working in a computer-based music production environment, your KOMPLETE
KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard can also be used as a regular MIDI keyboard and controller
without a computer attached.
Important: Update the Controller Firmware to the Latest Version!
Stand-alone functionality was introduced in Controller Editor 1.8.0, and requires your KOM-
PLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard's firmware to be version 52 or greater.
If Controller Editor is running, and you connect a KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard
that has a firmware version lower than 52, a warning message pops up indicating how to up-
date the firmware of your keyboard:
The warning message helps you update your controller's firmware.
If this message appears when you connect your KOMPLETE KONTROL S-SERIES keyboard, do
the following to update the keyboard firmware:
