1. Place the mounting plate on the wall at the desired location, mark the position for the screws
with a pencil.
2. Drill two holes in the marked positions with a 5 mm drill bit.
3. Insert the included expansion anchors into the previously-drilled holes.
4. Tighten the mounting plate using the supplied screws.
5. Align the detector with the mounting plate, then the alarm clockwise until it activates and a click can be heard.
F. Start-up of the device
The device has a non-removable, built-in lithium battery with a service life of about 10 years. When the detector
is installed, it will automatically start up when the mounting plate is in the correct position.
WARNING: IF THE MOUNTING PLATE IS NOT ATTACHED TO THE DEVICE, IT WILL NOT WORK
G. Testing and maintenance of the device
1. Press the "Test" button on the front of the device.
2. The device will generate a short alarm signal and the red LED will blink.
WARNING: TEST THE DEVICE AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH. IF THE DEVICE DOES NOT BEHAVE AS
DESCRIBED ABOVE IN ANY OF THE TESTS, REMOVE THE SENSOR AND PLACE IT IN A
WELL-VENTILATED PLACE FOR AN HOUR, THEN MOUNT AND RUN THE TEST AGAIN. IF THE DEVICE
STILL DOES NOT REACT, IT MUST BE REPLACED.
For the CO sensor to work properly and be in good technical condition, it is necessary to:
1. Clean the unit regularly of dust,
2. Keep the device away from soluble substances or detergents,
3. Avoid using air fresheners or sprays (e.g., hairspray) near the device,
4. Not paint the detector,
5. Keep the product away from the water tanks - high humidity will negatively affect the CO sensitivity of this device.
