Page 4-2
The LCD displays four lines that can contain up to twenty characters each. Due to the
display area's limitations, the LCD acts as a view port into the information it displays.
Use the arrow buttons to select options, and then scroll left, right, up and down
through the display information. You can view the entire information collection
similar to turning the pages of a notebook.
The following figure shows the information types that display on the LCD screen
along with their navigation sequence.

The LCD and display indicators show the progress during the NET-PATH's defined
boot process.
The usual boot sequence is as follows:
1
The operating system name displays.
2
The unit performs a self-check and displays the status of the operating system
and application by indicating OK or BAD. During this period, the Status LED
flashes.
3
The next display indicates whether the OS (operating system) or the application
will launch. When the application is OK, it launches; otherwise, the OS launches.
4
The word "Uncomp" displays, indicating that the launched software is
uncompressed. When successful, it displays OK.
5
A Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) executes with the launched software to
determine if it is valid.
6
If the CRC is OK, the NET-PATH continues to load and displays Init1 and Init 2.
The Status LED stops flashing and is not illuminated.
