TCP/IP parametrization

To use an ACCON-NetLink-S7 you have to assign an IP address to the device. To do this the
ACCON-NetLink-S7 must be ready for use and connected within the same sub-network as
your PC from which the configuration takes place.
To set the IP address do the following:
• Start »Set PG/PC Interface« via the Simatic
• Select «ACCON-S7-Net NL (MPI)« and choose »Properties«
Click the button »New«

Using the button »Search ACCON-NetLink S7...« all ACCON-NetLink S7 connected to the
sub-network and which are ready for use will be listed.
If there are several ACCON-NetLink S7 displayed, you can identify the desired adapter by
checking the serial number which is also marked on the case. If there is still no IP address
assigned to the device, the IP address »0.0.0.0« (factory defaults) appears. Choose the
ACCON-NetLink S7 to which an IP address should be assigned to and click on »Properties...«.
A window appears where you can enter the IP address which should be assigned to the
ACCON-NetLink S7. Confirm the new IP address by clicking on »Accept«. But remember that
you can only change the IP address within the 1. minute after commissioning. To
permanently store the settings in the ACCON-NetLink S7 you have to call again the
properties.
