Problem
There is no picture on the screen.
The printer works.
The device does not turn on from
battery
The device does not turn on from
Mains too
The keys or at least some keys are
not operational.
The device cannot be
reprogrammed.

Possible causes
LCD cable failure.
The Interface Board is damaged.
The LCD is damaged.
The batteries are completely
discharged.
The battery-protecting fuse has
burned out.
The battery is damaged.
The keyboard cable (power switch)
is damaged, or not connected.
Damaged Main board.
Touch screen failure
The reed-tube in the device is
broken (cannot switch to boot
mode with the magnet at the
specified place in the device).
The serial cable is damaged or
incorrect PC serial port setting.

Solutions
Check the connection of the LCD FFC
cable.
Change the Interface Board
Change LCD
Connect the device to the mains and
switch on.
Check the battery and it's charge state,
and the fuse.
In case of replacing the fuse, try to
find the reason of the burn-out and fix
it.
Check the battery.
If it cannot be fixed, replace it.
Check the cables and the connections.
Check the power voltages on the Main
Board.
Check the connection of the LCD FFC
cable.
Replace the LCD
After disassembling the device, check
the tube. If necessary, replace it.
(If no replacement tube is available,
temporarily reconnecting the reed-tube
places the device into programming
mode.)
Check the serial cable and the PC, and
the download software settings.
