6. Traceroute:
1) Function:
Traceroute allows you to view the routing that packets are passed between the local machine
and the target server. Through Traceroute, you can know the path of the information from the
local machine to the target address; help users understand the physical and logical connection
topology of the network and the efficiency of data transmission.
2) Operating procedures:
Input the domain name or IP address of the host then click the trace button or press Enter.
7. Port Scan:
1) Function:
Displays the open ports and services of the target network address.
2) Operating procedures:
Input the domain name or IP address of the host then click the scan button or press Enter.
8. Lookup:
1) Function:
An domain Information Finder tool, is used for asking DNS domain n ame servers. It
performs a DNS search that displays the responses returned from the requested domain
name server. The running interface is shown Figure 4-4-6:
