 This method of accessing the Internet may not
be possible for some Internet service provider.
 While the network cable is connected to the
unit as described above, you will not be able to
access the Internet on the computer. If you want
to connect to the Internet from the unit and
the computer at the same time, you must use a
separate network cable to connect the computer
to the network. For details on connections, refer
to the page 85 of the Operating Instructions or
the customer support site of Sony Europe, http://
support.sony-europe.com/ (for the customers in
Europe only).
 Connect the power cord.
Connect the power cord to a wall outlet after
all other connections have been made.
The unit turns on automatically and
starts making the initial settings. Wait
until the unit turns off again.
The initial settings may take a few minutes
depending on the unit's condition.
WARNING
Do not disconnect the power cord while the initial
setup is in progress. Doing so may cause the unit to
malfunction.
Inserting the batteries into the

remote control

Insert two size-AA (R6) batteries (supplied)
into the remote control with the  and 
terminals matching the polarity markings.
When the remote control is no longer able to
operate the unit, replace both batteries with
new ones.

Setting up the AM loop antenna

Unroll the antenna cord from the antenna.

Assemble the AM loop antenna so that it
stands vertically.
Unfold the stand, raise the antenna vertically
and insert it into the slot as shown in the figure
below.
