Adjusting the playback speed without changing
the pitch (Key Lock)
If you turn Key Lock on, you can change the playback speed of a track using the [TEMPO]
slider without changing the pitch.
1 Press the [Key Lock] button to turn Key Lock on.
The button lights up when Key Lock is turned on.
• Press the [Key Lock] button again to turn Key Lock off.

Using the jog wheels

You can use the following features in combination with the jog wheel.

• You can set the rotation speed of the jog wheel to 33 rpm or 45 rpm by pressing the [33] or
[45] button.
Description
Turn the jog wheel while touching the top during playback to
scratch a track.
Release the jog wheel to resume normal playback.
Turn the top of the jog wheel while pressing the [SHIFT]
button to cycle through tracks with extra speed according to
the rotation direction. If you release the [SHIFT] button, it
changes to scratch operation and you can fine-adjust the
playback position.
