Scale Tuning

By default, the temperament of this keyboard is set to Equal Temperament—the same tun-
ing as on a normal acoustic piano. However, the setting can be changed to other musical
temperaments to match the music genre or style in which you want to play.
Selecting Preset Temperament
(Scale function)
You can select a desired temperament from the vari-
ous preset scales.

Press the [FUNCTION] button to call up
the Function display.

Rotate the dial until "Scale" (Function
055) is shown on the display.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The temperament currently selected is shown on
the display.

Rotate the dial to select a temperament.
The default setting is "1 Equal."

Temperament
When you specify a temperament other than Equal
Temperament, or create an original temperament via
the Scale Tune function, you'll need to select the
appropriate Base Note (or tonic) here.

Press the [FUNCTION] button to call up
the Function display.

Rotate the dial until "BaseNote" (Func-
tion 056) is shown on the display.

The base note currently selected is shown on the
display.

Rotate the dial to select a base note from
C, C#, D, Eb, E, F, F#, G, Ab, A, Bb and B.
The default setting is "C."
