1. precAutions
- Before starting painting test the spray on scrap surfaces
(packing paper, newspapers, etc.) in order to adjust the
pressure, the width of the spray, the intensity and the viscosity
of the colour and to acquire sufficient skill and a correct
sensitivity in the use of the airbrush.
- To avoid soiling the area surrounding the surface that needs to
be painted some screening should be prepared, using either
cardboard or plywood or other scrap material.
2. use (pic. 1 - 2)
Warning: the airbrush's working pressure is between 2 and 3
bar, its air consumption 15 l /min.
Warning: before connecting make sure the compressor is
switched off or the air supply is disconnected.
Mix the colours or dilute the paint/enamel, then fill about 2/3 (or
less) of the tank with the colour (7 / 8). Subsequently connect the
colour tank to the attachment under the airbrush (4) ensuring it is
well secured. The air supply must then be attached to the airbrush
(5) by means of the pipe (6) connected to the compressor. Switch
on the compressor (adjusting the pressure reducing valve so that
the right working pressure is obtained) and press the push-button
(2) to let the colour out.
With the pipe and the adapter (11) a compressed air can can be
used: the pipe must be connected to the adapter and the latter
must be screwed to the can. To adjust the air supply the wheel
(12) must be turned. To interrupt the air supply the wheel must be
turned anti-clockwise until it stops.
The colour flow can be regulated by adjusting the opening of the
nozzle (Pic. 2): to obtain a wide spray the bush of the nozzle's

hood (C) must be turned anti-clockwise, to obtain a narrower
spray this must be turned clockwise.
As long as they are compatible, any combination of colour and
paint/enamel can be used.
Particular attention must be paid to ensure that the colour and/or
the paint do not contain lumps or dirt. If is very thick the paint
should be mixed with a commercially available thinner according
to a 1:1 ratio. Paint dries very quickly; spraying must therefore be
a continuous operation with no excessively lengthy interruptions.
Paint temperature should, if possible, not be lower than +17° C.
The area to be painted should also not be excessively cold.
3. pAinting tips
- Never spray paint before moving the hand holding the airbrush,
as this will result in a build-up of paint at the beginning of the
operation. The same is true for the end of spraying; the hand
movement should be stopped only AFTER having stopped the
air flow.
- The airbrush should be kept at a distance of 15-30 cm,
depending on the nozzle's opening, the paint's thickness and
the width of the area to be painted.
- Move the whole forearm, not just the wrist.
- To prevent paint from dripping, avoid excessively slow
movements during use.

painting techniques (masks, stencils etc.), please read the
specialized manual for the use of the airbrush.
4. mAintenAnce
Warning: to avoid damaging the washers never immerse the
whole airbrush in nitre or synthetic solvents or in water.
After each use the colour tank should be removed and emptied,
carefully cleaned and half filled with solvent. The tank should then
be reconnected to the airbrush and the solvent must be sprayed
until it comes out clean.
In order to clean the tool from solvent residues, this operation
should then be repeated without the tank.
Dry the airbrush with a cotton cloth.
Should the nozzle become obstructed, clean the needle and the
nozzle itself from paint residue.
To unscrew the needle's head (Pic. 3, A) from the airbrush, use
the supplied spanner (Pic. 1, 9). Slip the needle off the nozzle's
components (3), remove the rubber washer (B) to avoid damaging
it and clean. To clean the needle/nozzle, the same solvent used to
mix paint can be used. To reassemble the needle, follow the same
procedure backwards.
