2. The AD-5B wireless audio adapter

■ Overview

The AD-5B wireless audio adapter contains the following parts:
Control key (1) switches the adapter on
and off. The control key also changes
modes in the adapter.
Indicator light (2) displays the current
status of the adapter. See "Light
indicator modes," page 12.
To optimize the Bluetooth connection,
avoid covering the adapter.
Since the adapter is an enhancement to
Nokia phone models that do not have an
integrated Bluetooth functionality, there are no menus or user interfaces in the
phone itself.
Note: The adapter is designed to be used with a compatible Bluetooth
headset and not intended for use when you hold the phone near your ear.

■ First time use

Before you can use the adapter, you need to pair (associate) it with the headset you
want to use. For pairing you need the adapter, a compatible phone, and the headset
including its PIN code. You only need to pair each individual headset once. Attach
the adapter into the Pop-Port connector of your phone.
