12 Trouble s hooting
Since t he O PN d oesn't h ave a d isplay, i t a lso d oesn't h ave a s ystem m enu t o r esort t o w hen
you've i nstalled a c rashing a pplication t hat p revents y ou f rom l oading n ew s oftware o n t he
OPN200x.
For t his r eason t he O PN200x h as a f ew e scape m echanisms t o a llow y ou t o r estart, h alt
your a pplication a nd/or i nstall n ew s oftware. T his c an b e v ery u seful i n c ase t he O PN200x
has c rashed o r i s c onstantly r estarting d ue t o a c rashing a pplication.
12.1 Restart m echanisms
The O PN h as a w atchdog t imer t o d etermine w hether t he O S i s s till r unning o r
has c rashed. T his w atchdog w ill c ause t he O PN t o r estart a fter 3 s econds i f t he
Automatic
OS h as c rashed. T his w atchdog t imer w ill n ot c ause a r estart w hen o nly t he
application h as c rashed.
The O PN h as a m anual r estart m echanism t hat a llows y ou t o r estart i n
situations t hat t he O S i s s till r unning, b ut y our t he a pplication h as c rashed. I n
order t o a ctivate t his m echanism, p ress a nd h old t he t rigger o r d elete k ey f or
at l east 2 0 s econds. A fter t he O PN h as s ounded t he r estart b eep, y ou c an
Manually release t he k ey t o c omplete t he r estart.
Note: o n t he O PN2004, y ou m ust p ush b oth t he t rigger a nd c lear k ey t o h alt
the d evice. A fter t he b eep, i f y ou r elease t he t rigger k ey, t he a pplication w ill
be h alted, a nd y ou c an r eload i t w ith A ppload. I f y ou r elease t he c lear k ey,
the O S w ill b e h alted, a nd y ou c an r eload i t w ith A ppload.

halt t he a pplication.
