3. Installation

Warning
The module must only be connected to
SELV or SELV-E circuits.
Warning
Switch off the power supply to the CIU box
before installing the CIM module.
Warning
Avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) when
fitting the CIM module, for instance by
using an ESD protection kit, product
number 96884939.
The CIM module must be installed by

Fitting CIM 040
Click the CIM module into the CIU box next to the
main module.

3.1 Connecting CIM 040

The position numbers refer to fig. 4.
1. Connect the brown conductor, TX, to pos. 1.
2. Connect the white conductor, RX, to pos. 2.
3. Connect the yellow conductor, GND, to pos. 3.
4. Connect the green conductor, +5 V, to pos. 4.
