2. Product introduction

CIM 040 is a TTL adapter module placed in a CIU
box and designed for communication with a
controller.
The module is an add-on to the existing CIU setup
and cannot work as a stand-alone unit.

2.1 Abbreviations

2.2 LEDs

The module has two LEDs. See fig. 1.
• Green status LED (LED2) for communication
between CIM 040 and the CIU box.
• Green status LED (LED1) for communication with
the controller.
